What is your blog about?
My blog is a fashion and personal style blog and contains my ramblings, inspirations, outfits and favourite things.Be warned I’m partial to everything vintage so that heavily influences my style and posts.I post about my personal style and things that have caught my eye, with book reviews,my travels(though there obviously) not on a regular basis I wish!) and my daily life thrown into the mix.I’ve been told I was born in the wrong era on numerous occasions so I guess you’ll see for yourself if you check out my blog!

Is this your first blog?
Yes,it is actually.I always loved the idea of Fashion bloggers and although I’m obviously a rookie at this,I still believe though my voice is small at the moment it doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter.

When did you start your current blog?
I started Fashion Is My First Language near the end of February,so not that long at all.

What made you do it?
I love vintage clothes and fashion and my style is quite different in comparison to some of the outfits sported in my local town which mainly consist of skin tight leggings, equally skin tight crop tops topped off with the same parka jacket.I’ve been complimented in the past about my style and aside from being completely flattered,it also made me toy with the idea of what it would be like to start blog and here we are now.I love reading fashion blogs and my favourites are Man Repeller,Style Bubble and The Clothes Horse so reading them made me want to give it a go.Even the huge blogs had to start somewhere.

What was your first blog post about?
It was actually an Outfit Of The Day post!

What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger?
My most useful tool would most definitely be my camera without a doubt! My posts from when I didn’t have a camera make me blush and cringe! It’s so useful and is definitely my best friend for blogging.I think high-quality images are a must after all if you aren’t drawn to the images, would you still read the post? And although I think images are important, good writing is a must even though that sounds bad coming from me considering I’m hardly the best writer.Be warned I’m no Shakespeare.

Do people in your real life know about your blog? If yes, has your blog helped you career wise? If no, why? Do you purposefully keep it a secret?
Yes but also no. You see a few of my best friends know but that’s about it and I intend to keep it that way. I do purposefully keep it a secret it as when I first told someone they went and told people in my school and although I know the internet is a public place, I’d rather be told before someone goes and says it to someone else. Thankfully I didn’t tell him the name of it! So at least that’s something.

What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) that you have been really proud of?
One of my favourite posts has to be my “Born In The Wrong Era” post as I adore the roaring twenties so it was really amazing to dress up as one.I’m also pretty happy with my “A Brief History” series of posts as history is my favourite subject and I loved finding out about the history behind my favourite items of clothing.

Where do you see your blog in a year?
I’m not too sure about that to be honest I suppose I’ll just have to enjoy the ride till then. That’s all that really matters when blogging after all:that you enjoy yourself and write about what you’re passionate about! Its so much more interesting to read a post when you can tell the blogger is passionate about the subject.

What do you wish you knew when starting your blog?
At the start I was just using my phone, like just my phone and can I just say it was such a stupid thing to do but in retrospect I didn’t have a laptop at the time but you can’t change the past and it doesn’t matter too much.

What do you wish you know more about now?
How to make the blog look the way I want it to look.I’m terrible with that sort of thing and all that jazz.I’d love to add and change things but haven’t a clue how to.

How do you keep motivated to post?
I don’t like when a blog doesn’t post regularly or doesn’t have an sort of pattern or schedule so I’m starting to post everyday now or at least trying to and for the moment I’m keeping through to my word.
